Conditions and How-to

Thanks for booking a lesson with me! Here’s a few things you need to know.

Conditions

  1. Packages: The packages expire 2 months after purchase.
  2. Canceling or rescheduling a lesson has to be done more than 24 hours before otherwise the lesson is due and/or counted.
  3. No refunds.
  4. If I am on holidays or if I have to cancel, point 1 and obviously doesn’t count if it makes you unable to use your lessons. Your lessons are “frozen” until I am available again. Don’t worry!

I will never mind if you reschedule, but do it a bit earlier!

Before a lesson

If you haven’t booked a lesson yet, please do so on my Cal.com schedule.

(Trial lesson)

You’re welcome to the meeting! You already received the link in the booking confirmation email. There is nothing else to do. Trials are 30-45 minutes long.

After the trial lesson!

Great! You’ve decided to work with me.

I try to make everything is quite easy and straight to the point. That way, I spend more time teaching. Almost every tool I use can be used in your browser our through an app. This still means you need to do a few things with your computer before we meet.

  1. Verify you have a working webcam and microphone (we never know!). Please have a computer ready for the lesson and not a smartphone. You’ll need to open a few links! (You can use Zoom on the phone and the computer on the side if you want.)
  2. Have Anki working. Try to be familiar with it. You’ll be able to learn the sentences we’ve seen during the lesson with it. If you can’t download it for some reason, you can use it online on AnkiWeb, but you need the app installed to import the decks!
  3. There are two websites I use to share material with you. The first one provides a better experience if you register, so I invite you to do it. The websites are:
    • Teachee.io, — the website that I use for flashcards. You can’t export flashcards if you don’t register.
    • Baserow, — the database I use for keeping track of lessons. Just bookmark the link you got!
  4. In the first mail, you’ll get the link to your personal dashboard on Baserow. Don’t loose it as I’ll be giving feedback there after lessons. Don’t share it with others.
  5. You’re good to go! Click the Jitsi.me link you’ve received when you booked to get to the lesson.

Need a video? See this boring how-to I’ve made which explains Anki and Teachee.
